Time to clean house... I spent way too much time focusing on time wasters in the past. I had signed up for numerous money making schemes and affiliate programs. If you're a regular reader, I'm sure that you noticed all of the banners and buttons that had accumulated in my sidebar. I regret that I spent so much time applying for and adding those links a few months ago when I first started this blog.
I originally wanted this to be a place where you could find legitimate ways to earn a living from the comfort of your home. And that's exactly what I am going to continue doing. But I want this blog to contain nothing more than quality information that you can rely on. In the next few days you are going to notice many more banners disappearing. I am taking the time to log into each account, and if I haven't earned any money or gotten any referrals, that button will be gone! My focus will be entirely on educating you on things that are working for me.
So, I'm hoping to have this site cleaned up by the end of the week. No more clutter! No more waiting for this site to load because of all the data! This blog will undergo a total makeover... and I would love to hear from you to see what you think about the new look. So check back soon... Until then... It was once asked of President Bush Sr. what single factor he could attribute to him becoming president of the United States.

His response was that he had taken note of every one he ever met and made it a point to stay in touch with them over the years.

If you want to predict a person's future income, just look at the size of their rolodex!

And To Take that One Step Further...

It's not about who you know, or who knows you, it's more about how WELL they know you!

So basically, your success boils down to two simple success factors...

Success Factor # 1 -> The number of people who know you.

Success Factor # 2 -> How well each person knows you.

The bottom line is if you have a large amount of people who know you, like you, and trust you, you'll always have all the business you can handle.

Here's the Secret Key to Having It All...

The key to putting these success factors into action lies right in your contact manager.

There's millions of dollars lying there in your contact manager and you probably don't even know it.

The secret to extracting that money and success from your rolodex and contact manager is to see it as a source for GIVING!

When you give, you'll always get.

Or as Zig Ziglar once said, "If you help enough people get what they want, you'll get everything you want."

Some Action Steps for Success.

Now that you understand the principles of success, I want to give you some very specific ACTION STEPS that you can immediately start using to attract success into your life.

Action Step # 1
Put one new quality person into your contact manager every day.

Make it a goal to meet one or two new quality people every single day and add them to your contact manager.

Action Step # 2
View your contact manager as an opportunity to give back.

Scan your contacts and ask yourself, "What can I do for someone today that will make the world a better place?" Look at your contact manager as a resource not just for
getting something, but for giving back.

Here are some suggestions for using your contact manager to give back to people.

Suggestion -> Give a referral to someone.

Suggestion -> Send a "thank you" card.

Suggestion -> Send a "thinking of you" card.

Suggestion -> Send a "I'd like to get to know you better" card.

Suggestion -> Send a compliment card.

Suggestion -> Make a phone call to "check in" with a person.

Suggestion -> Introduce a person in your network to another person in your network who you think ought to meet each other.

Suggestion -> Sponsor a networking luncheon with people in your contact manager. Send them an invitation card.

Suggestion -> Send an invitation to a person for an early "coffee meeting" to see how you can help that person.

The key is to add value to people in your contact manager without expecting anything in return.

Action Step # 3
Educate people about what you do.

Cold calling for new prospects is not necessary. You'll have access to all the resources and new
prospects you'll ever need simply using your contact manager.

Your objective is not to "sell" them, it's to get to know them better so that you can be a better resource for them.

Also, you want to "educate" them about what it is that you do and what a good referral looks like for you so when the time is right, they will be able to spot a good referral candidate for you.

Action Step # 4
Make notes in the notes section of each contact.

In your contact manager, you'll want to keep good notes about each person so that you can use that information to enhance your contact's lives.

Some of the notes that you'll want to write down are...

a. Important dates

b. Notes from past conversations.

c. Important people in their lives.

d. The date you met them.

e. What they like to do in their spare time.

Four Important Questions You Need to Ask Yourself...
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you want to improve the quality of the relationships with people in your network, and you don't know what to do, ask yourself these four important questions.

These questions will guide you as to what to specifically do to improve your relationship with them.

Here are the four questions...

Question # 1 - Do they know you?
Are there people in your contact manager that you've only met one time who probably don't know what you do? Have you explained what it is you do to them?

Question # 2 - Do they trust you?
Would they call you for advice or for ideas? Do they consider you a valuable resource? What have you provided to them that would prove to them your value?

Question # 3 - Do they consider you a friend?
Let's face it, people love to do business with friends. So as you go through your contact manager you should ask yourself, "What can I do to become better friends with that person?"

Question # 4 - Can they depend on you?
Do they know that you are rock solid and that you'll be there for them when they need your help?

The Big Mistake!
Too many people look at others as "people they need to sell" when they meet them, rather than NEW FRIENDS.

When you meet a person, your first inclination will be to see them as a sales opportunity. When you do that, you are basically treating them as an object.

Friends don't treat friends like objects!

Friends get to know each other. Friends build trust. Friends do things for each other. Friends have fun together.

If your friendship does turn into a "sale," then it should only be one small step in a lifelong
relationship with that person.

Summary: You Want to Focus on Five Things...
1. Adding people to your network every day.

2. Getting to know the people in your network.

3. Making sure people in your network know you and what you do.

4. Adding value to your network each day.

5. Viewing your network as an opportunity to give, rather than to get.

One Final Thought...
Harvey McKay, the author of the bestselling book, "Swim with the Sharks Without Being Eaten Alive" has said, "If I were being mugged and I had to make a choice of giving up my wallet or my rolodex file, I would rather lose my wallet. It would be scary, expensive, and a hassle to lose my wallet. But losing my rolodex would be devastating. Practice these referral marketing techniques and your business will explode with new customers

Business owners tell me everyday that the way they generate the most new business is through referral marketing. Yet they don't seem to grasp the power of this statement. Few if any businesses harness the true power of referrals by making the receiving of systematic referrals a cornerstone of their marketing efforts.

First let me tell you why you need to do this.

1. Referrals are credible right from the start. When a trusted friend tells you about a business you transfer that trust to this company...even if you've never heard of them before.

2. People who are referred to a business tend to spend more money. Research has proven this beyond the shadow of a doubt and it is likely because people tend to refer other who are highly qualified and not just tire kickers or price shoppers.

3. Referrals are very cost-effective. In some cases free or a fraction of what you might pay in advertising costs.

In some industries, like consulting and professional services most companies are chosen solely on the recommendation of a friend.

Are you getting your referrals...if not consider these little ideas.

1. Expect to get referrals but don't assume you will. Talk about them early and often and build them into your sales and marketing efforts...don't wait for people to offer them.

2. Create a system. It can be as simple as advertising $20 for every referral.

3. Follow-up by phone or mail asking for referrals

4. Give every client 3 business cards. Look in your drawer you've got hundreds. Give them out to clients and they may just pass them along.

Referrals are essential to your business so don't overlook them chasing the newest trend in marketing in your industry.

I had the privilege of meeting the CEO and Founder of Yahoo! Inc., Jerry Yang, yesterday at Camp Yahoo! 2008 (the company's annual summer picnic). Yahoo! is the reason that we transplanted out here to Silicon Valley in January. My husband accepted an offered position with the company last year. It has been a big adjustment for us, leaving friends behind in the Chicago area, but the Bay Area is wonderful! Dream, Share, & Lead!

To become a successful builder, you must be able to do 3 things consistently. That is to be able to Dream, Share, and Lead... Doing these 3 things will dramatically improve the quality of your life!

Dreaming is where it starts! You must exercise your dream muscles daily and realize that the dreams we have, create the framework for everything we desire. It's also important to understand that it doesn't really matter if we believe our dreams to be true or not. The mind doesn't know the difference between what's real and what's not. So write down your dreams! The bigger the better!

The next step is Sharing! As you share your dreams with others, your dreams will grow in intensity, building momentum! The movement and direction of your dreams will have much more intensity when you share them with others. This applies to any business and any dream!

Last but not least, Lead! As leaders we take responsibility for our teams. If you don't see yourself as a leader, this may be the reason that you haven't achieved what you want in your life! You must see yourself as a Leader first! Whether you lead your family, business or team, declaring yourself as a leader is essential to building your success. Leaders take responsibility for where they are and where they're going. Leaders dream and shape their own destiny! Leaders are creative and resourceful! Leaders share their vision!

If you know anyone who has had a Mastectomy, you may know that there is a lot of discomfort and pain afterwards. Infact, a dear friend of mine back home had to have a double mastectomy just last year. Although hard to believe, insurance companies are trying to make mastectomies an outpatient procedure. Let's give women the chance to recover properly in the hospital for at least 2 days after surgery. Please take the time to make a difference! It's about eliminating the 'drive-through' Mastectomy where women are forced to go home just a few hours after surgery, against the wishes of their doctor, still groggy from anesthesia and sometimes with drainage tubes still attached. The clean-up has begun

Well, I finally started the clean-up on my blog here to remove some of the programs that haven't produced anything and/or weren't worth the time and effort needed to make them work (at least in my opinion).
The first to go was TrafficZap Exchange. It may have generated a little traffic, but the pop-under was so annoying! Those of you that frequent my blog would probably agree, but I thank you for putting up with it until I came to my senses! It seemed to slow down the loading time of my page as well as interfering with my ability to click on links, etc... So... It had to go!
The next on the list was the Gomez PEER. They claim that you can earn cash for every minute your PC is on and connected to the Internet by running the Gomez PEER. They also claim that you will help them provide the most realistic picture of Web performance. Well, after the first night of running it I was ready to give up! My pc kept crashing and it took quite awhile just to earn one cent! I also noticed where they state "Be rewarded simply for being online! Earn over $1 per month just for having your PC online 20 hours a day!" Are they kidding??? $1 per month??? Needless to say, I canceled my account tonight and forfeited the whole 2 cents that I had earned. It definitely wasn't worth the headaches.
Anyways, there will be more clean-ups to report as soon as I sort through them. I will keep you posted on which ones I'm terminating and my reasons for dropping them.
I will also let you know what will be staying. And for all of my loyal Entrecard droppers out there... I am keeping Entrecard!
It treats me well and I can credit alot of my recent traffic to them. I myself may not be dropping as much as I did when I first joined Ecard, because it can become quite addicting. But I do think it's worth hanging onto. My newest goal with Ecard is to actually aim for more quality traffic now, and not just get the "hit and runners"...
That's all for tonight... I've really got to try and catch up on some sleep. It's been a busy week! I spent Tuesday evening at the Castro Valley Mom's Club's Pamper Night event. I had one of the vendor display tables set up with my Gourmet Candles. It was a fun event and I loved having the opportunity to share my Organic Scents with all the mommies... My Quest for Comments

In an effort to get some reader participation here, I'm posting these 10 Tips To Get More Blog Comments that I received in an e-mail from Popular Wealth's Stuff to Blog About! I also learned alot from these tips and will be taking action on some of them as well...

Did you know that between 95% and 99% of internet visitors will not leave a blog comment!

Almost all blog visitors are lurkers and a very small percentage of those visitors will take the time to leave blog comments or to interact with your site in general. In fact your blog’s most loyal followers will leave the majority of your blogs comments despite representing only a small portion of it’s total visitors.

The following 10 tips should help you generate more blog comments.

1 - Make it easy to leave blog comments.
A simple and clean comments template located at the end of every blog post works best. You’d be surprised at how many people refuse to leave a comment if they need to enter answers to questions, navigate pop-up windows and figure out what some blurry letters spell. Keep it clean and simple.

2 - Ask for visitors to leave comments on your blog.
You’ll notice an instant boost in the number of comments you receive if you simply ask for visitors to leave their opinions. Don’t be dramatic about it but a subtle “I’d love to get reader feedback on this” or other similar request works wonders in blog posts. Asking for comments is a call to action.

3 - Enable Gravatars on your blog.
Gravatars, also known as globally recognized avatars, allow visitors to display a custom avatar next to their comment. For more information visit gravatar.com

4 - Reward visitors who leave blog comments.
You can reward good blog comments, or regular commenters, in a variety of ways. Widgets exist for example that display the names of those who have left the most comments. Perhaps even more effective would be to simply write ‘great comment’ when you come across one that stands out, don;t overdo the praise however or it becomes worthless.

5 - Interact with your visitors.
YOU should probably be your blogs most prolific comment writer. Visitors will often have questions or opinions to share, take the time to answer questions.

6 - Humility.
I personally avoid leaving a comment on a blog when the post author acts as if they know everything and are always right. If I see an author tear into someone who doesn’t agree with them, I’m likely leaving for good if I’m a first time reader. Accept criticism and learn from visitors as much as they learn from you.

7 - Comment on other blogs.
Get active by choosing a handful of other blogs on your subject and interact with them by leaving comments. Keep it short, concise and make sure you share your opinion. I’d recommend keeping things light but sometimes being controversial works too, if you can keep from becoming annoying. Your goal is to become a regular and allow visitors of other sites to get to know you.

8 - Clean up your blog.
The Feedburner Chicklet that says you have 7 subscribers is a stain, get rid of it. Pop up or pop under ads, annoying! Cheap articles that took no thought to create mixed in with 500 ads? yuck! Before you get regular visitors, you have a lot of first impressions to make. Clean and simple with neutral colors and a lot of white works best, take advantage and remove any extra code to speed things up at the same time.

9 - Set a goal and blog about it.
Readers will remember and may very well check in again to see how it’s going. They may not care how YOUR blog is doing, in fact they likely will be seeing if what you’re doing works for their own reasons, but it doesn’t matter. Make an impression by following through with your goals.

10 - Write solid articles.
Write blog posts that don’t sound like dictionary dribble and make sure they engage your readers attention by making them think. A reader with questions and opinions is more likely to interact with your blog.

11 - Yes, 11, you didn’t think there were just 10 ways did you?
Multi-task! If you’re looking for articles that interest you on other blogs so that you can leave some comments of your own… multi-task. Find articles with pagerank that don’t use nofollow if getting pagerank is your thing. Find articles that use the top commentators plug-in if raising technorati rank is your thing. Find articles about technology or webmaster related issues if you want to give your Alexa rank a boost. Just make sure you actually have something worthwhile to add. Not all blogs are created equal, some have side benefits.

Time for some Spring Cleaning!

As I mentioned in my previous post, I'm going to be cleaning up this blog a bit... I'll be removing some of the things that aren't really worth my time and adding some things that I believe will produce more for me. And speaking of being more productive, I feel that de-cluttering the workspace is definitely something that will improve my productivity... I'll admit it, I'm a pack-rat! And the clutter just seems to accumulate exactly where I don't need it, causing distraction and frustration!
Whether you have an entire room or just a desk, make it a place where you like to be. Clutter can often make us feel out of control and overwhelmed. Nowhere in the house is this truer than in the home office. Once all the paper clutter is filed or thrown away take the time to beautify your workspace. I’m certainly not saying to go out and buy all new office supplies! Rather add some finishing touches from throughout the house. A picture frame with your child's photograph, a potted plant, flowers, candles, a pretty coffee cup for storing your pens, will all do the trick!
So let's all take advantage of the "Spring Cleaning" season, to clean up our lives and brighten our days! This might even cause us to find more inspiration and motivation to work toward those goals we're all striving to achieve!

Who am I and why am I working from home?

I started this blog back in March of 2007, but didn't really do much with it. I think I posted about 5 times during the whole year! But then in March of 2008 I actually began posting regularly... Until now I haven't shared much of my personal life with you, but that's about to change. I feel it's important to form a relationship with your readers and to let them know that "Hey, I'm a real person"! =)
So, the first thing I'd like to share with you is my "Why" for doing what I'm doing with this blog. And why do I call myself Bay Area Mompreneur?
Well, my "Why" is simple... I am doing this for my family! Specifically my two little ones pictured here.
I've been a stay-at-home mom ever since my daughter Caitlin (on the left) was born... She's now 4 and Brandon is 2. Until then, I was a cosmetologist/hair dresser working at Sport Clips in Edmond, Oklahoma!
I feel it's important to be home for my kiddos and wouldn't want it any other way! Working from home is giving me the ability to do just that. As you have probably already figured out, I've got several projects I'm working on... and believe me, they do keep me busy! That's why I'm actually re-evaluating some of the things I've got going. I'm going to be revamping this blog soon and removing some of the items that I've found to be "Big Time Wasters" (at least in my opinion). I'll share with you what those are and the reason I'm dropping them as it happens. At the same time, I will also share with you the things that are working for me. And I will be putting more time and effort into those opportunities.

We actually spent New Years Eve in a Hotel in Cheyenne, Wyoming. We had movers that moved our "Stuff" for us, but we chose to drive our own cars out here. We took 4 days to drive from Aurora, Illinois, to the Bay Area. There was snow on the ground the whole way! But anyhow, that's how I have now become a "Bay Area Mompreneur"! Besides that, I thought it had a nice ring to it!

How to Gain Success with MLM

Let's focus on products. No matter which MLM company you join, there is always a product. In order to be successful in MLM, you must believe in the product. If you don’t believe in the product, you might as well look elsewhere, because you'll just be wasting your time and money. It should be something that you're passionate about!

The product can be anything from health supplements to a website promoting a program. But before you invest any money into the company that you are considering, take a look at their products. Is it something that you would use on a daily basis? Could you see yourself spending the dollar amount needed to qualify for monthly commissions by using their products? Does the product get you excited? If so, then you have overcome one of the hurdles of MLM.

Let me give you an example. I recently found out about a safer, cleaner burning, non-toxic candle. Now I have always been a candle person. I just love candles! It's also one of my top rated gifts to give and receive. So, I requested a scent sample and additional info about the company, and discovered that they have the most yummy smelling candles as well as a great business opportunity.

Now, whether I work the business or not, I would definitely buy their candles. Especially since they are made from a vegetable-based wax and are safer for my friends and family than traditional paraffin wax candles. So I might as well work the business and get my product paid for as well! Right?

In fact, when you have a testimony to share, it will probably be your most powerful selling point. Recruiters always share their testimony—and often the testimonies of others. So if you have a testimony about the product itself and how it’s helped you, you’ll have a better chance of making a sale. Even if the first few people that sign up don’t actually work the business (in my case, some people join just to get their own candles at the wholesale price), you’ll still earn a residual income from their purchases that you can work with until you find the business builders for your team.

So look at the product of the MLM company that you’re considering. Is it something you could get excited about? Is it something that you can't live without? If not, maybe you should look somewhere else. But if you have a passion for the product, share your testimony, and chances are, people will sign up!

I apologize to everyone for being away for so long! I have actually been recovering from a Very Painful infection... My right fallopian tube became infected about a week ago and I ended up in the ER with excruciating abdominal pain last Sunday (a week ago)... As of today I'm feeling 100% better! I've battled with some female health issues for a couple of years now, but this was one of the worst episodes I've had in a awhile! So once again, I'm sorry for my absence, but I think I'm ready to get back to blogging again!
As for my EntreCard friends out there... I'm sorry if I missed following on any of your drops, but I'm trying my best to get caught up again!

What is a Press Release?

A press release is a newsworthy story about your business that you submit to various media outlets ~ newspapers, magazines, website, radio, television. This is a wonderful way to get free promotion for your website. Any story that the media picks up will be far more valuable than a paid advertising spot. Having the media do a story about you is like a personal endorsement of your website and business.

What is the Appropriate Format for Your Press Release?

Your press release should have six basic components and they are:

1. Release Instructions

"For Immediate Release";
"For Release Before [date]" or
"For Release After [date]"

Use one of the latter two if your press release is of a time sensitive nature. For example, if you are holding a public speaking event, you will want to use the "For Release Before [date]" and make sure you input the final date for registrations. If you are using the "For Release Before [date]" ensure you are sensitive to media deadlines. Send your release out well in advance.

2. Headline

Write an attention-grabbing headline. Make it benefits-oriented (why would it be of interest to people?) and descriptive. Avoid hype and promotional language ~ remember, this is a news story.

3. Contact Information

Include as much information as possible here. Make it easy for the media to contact you. Include your phone number, address, company name, fax number, email and URL. Include the hours you are available at the listed phone number and add an after hours phone number, if applicable.

4. Summary

Before you get into the body of the release, write a sentence or two to summarize your press release. Make it interesting, you want the recipient to keep reading.

5. Content

This is the meat of your press release. Again, write a benefits-oriented story. Think of the target audience as you are writing. Your target audience is partly the editor or reporter who will be reading the release. Ultimately, however, your target audience is that editor or reporter's readers or audience. You need to write a story that will be of interest to them.

The first paragraph should answer all the important questions - Who, What, Where, When, Why & How?

Add some quotations to add credibility and to break up the story. Quotations can be from you about the topic. Testimonials or commentary from your customers are very effective as well.6.

6. Signify the End of Your Release

The end of your press release is shown by a few simple characters. Place ### at the end of your release.

Other General Formatting Tips

- Always remember that your press release is not an ad. It is a newsworthy story.

- Address your release directly to the appropriate reporter or editor. The media receives many press releases each day. A release addressed to a specific person is more likely to get attention than a general submission.

- Keep your release to about 1 page (or 2 pages maximum).

- Number your pages 1 of 2, 2 of 2, etc.

- Use active verbs.

- Do not use excessive adjectives ~ they sound like hype.

- Tweak your release when sending to different media outlets. If you are sending to the local paper your content may be slightly different than if you are sending it to a trade magazine.

- If you are sending your release by mail, use 8 1/2" x 11" paper.

- If you are sending your release by email, never send an attachment. Copy and paste your release into the body of the email.

Where to Send your Press Release
You need to build a media list and this will likely take some time. Start local and small. Local and/or small media are most likely to be interested in your story and it's the perfect way to hone your release writing skills. Besides, a lot of the larger media outlets scan the little guys to find stories to pick up.

Try newspapers, trade journals, topic specific magazines, websites, radio shows, television show ~ whomever would be interested in your topic.

Again, always remember to get specific contact information for your press release. A release address to a particular person will get a lot more attention than a general release sent to the media outlet.

I just wanted to share with you a little about my newest business venture this evening. It doesn't hurt to mention it... and everyone loves candles! Right? I feel like I'm a mom on a mission!
I just joined an All-Natural Gourmet Candle business opportunity. I've always loved candles, but have only recently become more aware of the toxicity of burning paraffin wax. Most candles fill a room with toxic, carcinogenic smoke and soot. In fact, burning paraffin candles releases many of the same toxins as diesel fuel.
Here's a little background info on the process of making paraffin wax. It begins at the bottom of an oil barrel (the worst 5% or so that has been rejected by the gasoline industry). This by-product of crude oil is then mixed with another less-than-enticing substance known as industrial strength bleach. This is what gives wax its pleasant whiteness. As if that weren't enough, they then add stearic acid and a few other minor ingredients, and you have the very wax burning in most of your homes. Shocking isn't it?!
As soon as I became aware of these harmful toxins being released by paraffin wax I didn't want to expose my friends, family, or children to it anymore. That's why I was thrilled when I discovered an alternative non-toxic wax which is made from ingredients such as vegetables and other natural, renewable sources. It's entirely non-toxic and non-carcinogenic. It also burns practically soot free and it smells better than ANY candle I have ever smelled! Honestly!
The clean glass and absence of black soot on the inside of the candle-holder is definitely comforting, when it is considered that this soot is the same substance being breathed when a paraffin candle is burned.
Note: Many soy waxes are not what they seem to be. The law only mandates a small percentage of the wax to be soy-based in order to be called soy wax. Therefore many soy waxes are still made mostly of paraffin.
There are also many other benefits of using these delicious smelling organic candles. Apart from being a healthy alternative to paraffin, the scents smell true-to-life from top to bottom, and they burn SLOW and EVEN too (retaining their fragrance stronger and longer).

Offline Advertising Techniques That Cost Little or NO Money

Today I am going to share with you three offline advertising tools that I am currently using. You might also want to consider using them when unleashing your business marketing strategies!

* Out of home advertising

How often have you been stuck in traffic and
found yourself reading the car in front of you? I'm not
suggesting that you run out and invest thousands of dollars
to transform your car into a rolling billboard but a decal
on your back window is a powerful way to gain recognition,
especially local recognition for your business. WebDecal

Consider also giving away freebies at local events.

For example: if you sell sporting goods or even sports nutrition,

Postcard advertising is an extremely cost effective tool for
getting your name out. You can purchase a list from a reputable
seller online, from your local chamber of commerce or look into
renting or purchasing a mailing list from relevant organizations
and associations. For example, a website selling massage and
physical therapy products could contact the physical therapy
association and send postcards to the list.

The key to good postcard advertising is in the copy. Make sure
that you have a compelling headline, offer a benefit to your
customers, and like any web copy, don't forget a call to action.
Tell your customers what they need to do in order to receive the
benefits of your products or services. Unlike web copy, though
you need to keep postcard copy short and to the point. A great copywriting resource is Alice Seba's Copywriting Sweetie. Alice has a way of
explaining things in simple terms that even the newest business
owners can understand.

* Neighborhood bulletins

Many communities, organizations, and business groups offer free
newsletters to their members. Often you'll find that the cost for

ad to make sure your audience is appropriate.

I'm going to let this blog go for now. I've embarked on a couple of other entrepreneurial projects that are a better fit for my busy lifestyle right now, and I'm really committed to them. As hard as I've tried, I just haven't found the right time to make any phone calls for the Zaken business. With my 2 little ones and my busy family life, it just hasn't happened. But I think it would be a great opportunity for a single person, or someone that can find a quiet room to make business calls from. By the time I get my kids to sleep in the evening, most companies are already closed. I may give it a try again sometime in the future. Maybe once my children are old enough for school... Until then I'm devoting my time to them... After all, Mother's only hold their children's hands for a short while, but their hearts forever...

Okay... I think I'm nearly 100% back to normal! I'm feeling much better since my surgery, and I'm looking forward to giving Zaken another try. They definitely don't let you forget about them, as I receive mailings from them constantly, offering new opportunities and ways to make money with them. But I am not going to invest in any further purchases from them. I believe that this can be achieved without buying into their expensive profit making systems... And you are never under any obligation to participate in these offers.
With 2 "little ones" at home, It's hard to find the time (quiet time actually) to sit down and make phone calls... But hopefully I'll get a few minutes this weekend during my youngest son's naptime to make a few calls. So, until next week, wish me luck! And I'll let you know what happens!

I'm sorry for not updating this, but I haven't actually had the chance to do much with the business yet... I did make a few calls at first and got a couple of leads that fell through... But it had nothing to do with Zaken. One prospect told me that he was going to ship some samples to me for review, but I never received anything... Then I ran into some health problems and my Zaken business had to be put on hold... I had surgery last Wednesday and am now recovering... I do plan to give Zaken another shot once I get to feeling a bit better... I will update once again when I get back on track... Until then, I just wanted to give you all an FYI as to why I never wrote more on the subject... Until next time... Never give up on your dreams!

Well, I took the first step and decided to go ahead and order my Zaken kit today... I called this morning and placed my order by credit card over the phone. The girl that took the order was very pleasant.
To back up a bit, this is how I got to where I am today...
I received a postcard awhile back, offering me a way to make money using HIS money... I returned postcard to request additional info... I then received a large envelope from them that contained a magazine sized booklet about the system... I didn't even read through it because it was just too long to read at the time... I'm a stay-at-home mother of 2. My daughter will be 3 next month, and my son just turned one... So, I don't really need to explain about the "time" situation!
Well, the envelope got missplaced and possibly even thrown away, and I forgot all about Zaken...
Lo and behold, a few days ago, I received another envelope identical to the first... But this one contained a follow-up letter and the magazine style report again... I decided to actually read the letter this time and it peeked my curiosity... I decided to set aside some time after the kids were in bed for the night, to go ahead and read through everything from front-to-back... Okay, it sounds like it might work, but I was still a wee bit skeptical, so I decided to check them out at ripoffreport.com Hmmm... They have actually received a pretty good rating from Rip Off, despite the bad reviews they got in the past... So... I talked it over with my hubby and I decided to take the plunge... If nothing comes of it, I can still get my money back... So, the way I see it is that it's worth a try...
I will post again when I receive the kit... I didn't opt for rush service, so they told me it could take a couple of weeks to get...
